Kinja'd!!!

Spotted this at work last night. Even scarier? The front plate was from Maine. I'm in Florida. He may have drove like this down the highway! Additional pic below!

Kinja'd!!!

Look at that! My God that is low!

That trailer looks rather small, so it must be very heavily loaded. Towing a trailer like that shouldn't be a problem for such a Hyundai, I see it all the time and without the stanced rear wheels.

Whats really funny is that to get where he was parked, he had to have gone over at least one speedbump. That noise this thing must've made...

I'd love to know what was in it. The interior was empty; the only thing in the rear trunk was a small suitcase. So the trailer had to do it.

I doubt it would do that if it was empty

Bitches don't know about my probably excessive tongue weight and improper loading techniques

On the way home from work yesterday i saw a ~10-12' boat on a trailer parked in the grassy highway median.

Figured the truck pulling it must've broken down.

As i drove past it i saw what looked like an e36 of all things towing the boat. The hood was up and driver and dog were in the car.

So that idea didn't work out for him obviously.

That small suitcase was filled with gold bullion.

I saw this at a U-haul, once (place I worked was also a U-haul dealer). Minivan (Windstar, maybe?) had rented a U-haul somewhere else, loaded the shit out of it, and the back end of the van was only barely off the ground. Trailer tongue was too low, so they stopped with us to get a fix, which ended up being a hitch insert with ludicrous lift. Yeah, "fix" - at some point, what can you do? They may or may not have been on the bump stops - less obvious than this. Sent them on their way with fingers crossed and a cringe.

Or just poorly loaded.

I always put a tape measure on the receiver to ground when empty, then sit on the back bumper (250 lbs) and measure again. Then when I put the trailer on, I know if I'm more or less than 250 lb tongue weight simply by height.

That must be a frightening ride.

Thanks. When it's my car trailer, I can move the car forward or back a few inches to bring it to the right amount. In a trailer like this, a complete load rebalance would be necessary. Not sure what kind of tongue weight you'd want to put on that car, but that looks like a lot more than 250 lbs!
